Fee structure
Sessions are 50 minutes long, unless otherwise agreed. I offer a collaborative sliding scale of fees, which allows me to cover the costs of my practice, whilst providing more accessibility with lower-cost sessions. It's important to note that I do have a limited allocation for sessions within reduced and accessible rates. I do not operate a waiting list, so it is always best to check in and explore options of rates with me.
Please note, I have discretion to review my fees annually. Any potential increases will be communicated to you with notice.
The below are guide prices and statements to help you work out which you feel best applies to you and your circumstances. This is something we can discuss and agree on within our initial telephone/video consultation or please reach out before to enquire further about this.
If I have availability and capacity to do so, I'm happy to be flexible and collaborative on session rates. A significant priority and motivation for me in doing this work is to make therapy accessible to all. For those who can afford standard rates, this helps me pay it forward by offering more reduced rates to those with lower incomes, accessibility requirements or differences in living arrangements or responsibilities. If I am able to make a balanced income and a sustainable practice, I am more in a position to better serve and support our community.

Should these proposed fees not meet your affordability requirements, there are various low-cost counselling services within London and across the UK. The counsellors within these services are typically at a trainee level, within a voluntary basis. You’re usually allocated a set amount of sessions that you’ll agree with the service and your counsellor. Please feel free to contact me if you’re struggling to find counselling and therapy services.
For transparency, I’ve listed below some of the core costs for running my private practice, to give you a sense of what the session fees cover beyond my income:
Registration with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP): to ensure I follow an Ethical Framework and adhere to professional counselling standards.
Regular and consistent supervision: a weekly opportunity for me to confidentially review, discuss and explore my clinical work to provide further support for my clients.
Insurance: to provide adequate protection for us both working online, in-person and within a therapeutic relationship.
Counselling and psychotherapy directory listing: to be able to market and promote my private practice and services to potential clients.
Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) registration: to legally and safely protect your data and personal information.
Website, video conferencing, business mobile phone, email and domain subscriptions: to hold online sessions, be contactable and operationally run a private practice.
Room hire: to ensure I am able to offer sessions in-person across various locations.
Ongoing training and professional development: as part of my BACP registration, and ethically within my practice, it is a requirement for me to continuously develop my professional skills, knowledge and techniques, ensuring I am providing ongoing informed and trained support for you. This is a minimum of 30hrs per year.
Further administration costs for running a business / private practice: for example notebooks, paperwork, WiFi, services and systems.
